Frequently Asked Questions

  • Feeling comfortable with your therapist is so important! Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 15 minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here is what you can expect during this call:

    • I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy

    • I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist

    • You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover

    • We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.

If we both decide that it feels like a good fit then we will move forward with scheduling the first session and completing necessary paperwork.

  • When first starting therapy, I ask that all clients commit to weekly sessions. This helps us build a strong base and work towards your goals right away.

I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.

  • For adult clients: The first session is focused on getting to know you better. I’ll ask you various questions relating to your life journey and we’ll also discuss your goals for therapy.

For clients under 18: I will meet with the parents/guardians of the client for the first session. This is just to gather any information and perspective that they can provide prior to my meeting with the teen themselves.

  • Please see the rates and insurance page.

  • No, therapists can only provide services in the states they are licensed. I am only licensed to work with residents of New Jersey. In order for us to work together you must physically be in NJ.
